Suspension of Navigation Notices.

Any confirmed upcoming suspensions or closures to navigation will be published on this page and via @MLC1862 on X and our Facebook page. You can also sign-up to receive a text message alert. Emergency closures will also be posted. Our News page includes navigation news items.

• We have received a consent application for contractors working on behalf of Cambridgeshire County Council regarding proposed refurbishment works of Town Bridge in March. They intend to undertake the works over Winter 2024/25. These works will require a closure to navigation of the Old Nene at Town Bridge. Please see Notice for Suspension of Navigation below.

• If you are planning to enter or exit the Middle Level navigation via Stanground Lock or Salters Lode Lock, the Environment Agency have set up online calendars to host the latest navigation closures, restrictions and/or advisory notices on the Great Ouse (inc. Tidal Gt Ouse crossing) and Nene.
